Issues : No pedal release mark
b. 46
|
composition: Op. 22, Polonaise
..
The missing mark in FE must be considered an inaccuracy, since due to the harmonic change on the 3rd beat of the bar, one cannot repeat here the whole-bar pedalling from the two previous bars. Both GE and EE failed to notice this subtlety: in both cases a mark was added at the end of the bar. In the main text we suggest releasing the pedal before the 3rd beat of the bar, as indicated by Chopin in analogous b. 42. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , GE revisions , No pedal release mark |

b. 53-54
|
composition: Op. 22, Polonaise
..
According to us, the pedal pressed at the beginning of b. 53 should be held to the end of b. 54; therefore, in the main text we suggest adding a mark here. The mark was added here already in EE as well as in GE2 (→GE3). A similar situation can be found in b. 197-198. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , GE revisions , No pedal release mark |

b. 72
|
composition: Op. 22, Polonaise
..
In the main text we suggest adding a asterisk in accordance with the harmonic content (after the previous bar). The mark was also added in EE. There is a similar situation in b. 216. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , No pedal release mark |

b. 125

composition: Op. 22, Polonaise

The missing mark must be an inaccuracy of FE (it is the last bar in the line), corrected both in GE and EE. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions , No pedal release mark |
